LeAnn Rimes sent Brandi Glanville flowers on Mother's Day, but the ex-Mrs. Cibrian was surprised by the gesture since the two of them don't even talk.

Glanville spoke about the gift on Monday via her Twitter account. She was thankful but expressed surprise over the flowers. The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star mentioned to her followers that she and Rimes do not even greet each other when in public.

"I thanked @leannrimes on twitter4 my flowers. Our relationship is that we still dont even say hi at baseball.I dont have her number-thats it," she tweeted.

In response, Rimes denied that she was in search of any recognition. She said that the flowers were simply for the occasion and nothing else.

"I didn't see anything else sent to me...It wasn't for the 'thank you.' It was to just simply say Happy Mother's Day," Rimes tweeted.

Rimes and Glanville have not always been at peace on social media. Their rivalry began when Eddie Cibrian cheated with Rimes in 2009 while they filmed a Lifetime movie together. At the time, Rimes was married to someone else and Cibrian was wed to Glanville.

Granville made reference to the affair on Twitter after she acknowledged the Mother's Day flowers.

"Studying for my part in a made for T.V movie shooting in the AM, maybe I will meet my future ex-husband (its happened before) #justsayin," Glanville tweeted.

Glanville has not been shy about using Twitter to blast the stepmother of her sons, Mason and Jake. In December of 2012, Glanville felt Rimes was deliberately trying to get under her skin when she referring to Glanville sons as her own "boys." Glanville said Rimes has no boundaries when it comes to her children and in February, she said Rimes was too unstable to be around them.

"LeAnn needs to get help. She may be unstable, and I am concerned. I want to protect (my children). I want to make sure she's as healthy as she can be," Glanville said.

At the time, Glanville was promoting her tell all Drinking & Tweeting and other Brandi Blunders. The book described in graphic detail the affair between Rimes and Cibrian. She described Rimes as "washed up," "Eddie's future ex," "what's-her-face" and "f-cking ruthless."

A spokesperson for Rimes said that Glanville was the one who needed professional help.

"This is a ploy to sell more books. If anyone needs help, it's Brandi. That should be obvious to anyone who's read her tweets," the rep said.
