One Direction, 'Where We Are' 2014 Tour: Dates, Schedule; Band to Release New Album [VIDEO]
One Direction have announced plans for a new album and a world tour for 2014, entitled the Where We Are Tour.
At a press-conference Thursday at Wembley Stadium in London, the popular boy-band revealed details on a studio album and specific dates of upcoming concerts.
The group's members Harry Styles, Niall Horan, Liam Payne, Louis Tomlinson, and Zayn Malik all sat at a table in front of a banner that read "Where We Are Tour 2014" with different types flags of the different countries they will visit for their concert stops.
Horan made announcement, saying: "We are doing a worldwide stadium tour. We will be touring in Latin America first then UK and Ireland. We are ecstatic. We have only been a band for three years and we're already doing stadiums - including Wembley."
The tour will include five UK and Ireland stops and eights dates in Latin America.
The Latin American leg of the tour in April and May will include stops in Brazil, Argentina, Colombia, Peru, Paraguay, Chile and Uruguay.
The 2014 tour will be the third concert tour and second album from the band in three years, after the band rose to stardom after appearing as contestants on The X Factor in 2010. They signed with Simon Cowell and finished third place in the singing competition.
"It's important the fans and everyone who comes to see the show know it's going to be much bigger and new songs. A completely different tour," Styles said.
Tickets go on sale on May 25.
