Rumors have made its way around Facebook surrounding Eminem, claiming that the rapper was the victim of a brutal stabbing and has died.

The message circulated on Facebook in a gruesome picture that indicated a tattooed man's back with slash marks and a message claiming the stabbing was caught on surveillance video.

"Rapper Eminem Left Nearly DEAD After Being Stabbed 4 Times In NYC!!" the headline of the message reads. "Warning 18+!! It was all caught on surveillance video! Click the pic to play the video!" the headline read.

Facebook users have been clicking on the picture, only to discover the link doesn't give more information regarding the alleged stabbing but rather to a spam site called amazingvid.biz.

Other users have copied the picture and have uploaded to other social media sites, such as Twitter and Instagram. The false rumor went viral instantly.

A representative has confirmed to E! News that the rumors are false and that the 8 Mile rapper is doing just fine.

Eminem is just the latest celebrity to be killed off on the internet.

Enstars reported back in April that death rumors surfaced that actor Eddie Murphy was killed in a snowboarding accident. The report stated that Murphy was air lifted by ski patrol teams to a local hospital, however, it is believed that the actor died instantly from the huge impact of the crash. The actor reportedly was wearing a helmet at the time of the accident and drugs and alcohol do not appear to have played any part in his death.

Meanwhile, Eminem is expected to release his latest and highly anticipated album this spring, according to Rollingstone. The release of the record will be the rapper's eighth studio album and will reportedly feature a track with comedian Chris Rock. It is also confirmed that Eminem will perform at a different festivals overseas this coming summer, including the Reading and Leeds Festivals in the U.K.
