After one season, Shakira has decided that she won't be returning to 'The Voice' in the fall.

The Latin singer of such hits as Hips Don't Lie and Underneath Your Clothes will not be returning for The Voice's fifth season. She wishes to focus on her music career and raising her new child.

On her exit, she said, "It was a hard decision for me to make, because I'm really fond of the coaches, the people in production and everybody around me."

The 36-year-old singer gave birth to her son Milan in January, and explains, "My poor baby's so tired flying such long distances. He already has more miles than any pilot. So I think I have to give him a little break."

The news of Shakira's departure comes on the heels of the announcement of Christina Aguilera's return to the coaching chair in the fall. Aguilera took a break from The Voice this season to focus on her career after coaching/judging the show's first three seasons. The singer reportedly signed a $17 million contract to appear on Season Five.

Aguilera will be joining Adam Levine, Blake Shelton and Cee-Lo Green for the fall edition of the show.

Though Shakira also added that she might return for a future season, saying, "we'll see what happens in the future," Entertainment Weekly just learned that she and Usher will return for Spring 2014.

The singer is working on her eighth studio album with successful music producers RedOne and Akon.

This season, Shakira is currently down to two budding singers, Sasha Allen and Kris Thomas, after losing Garrett Gardner on Tuesday night's results show.

The Voice currently airs on NBC Mondays from 8:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. and Tuesdays from 9:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. and will be on the same schedule in the fall.
