Michael Jackson Wade Robson, Nephew Taj Jackson Says He Will Defend Uncle’s Honor From “Those Who Seek Only Fame & Money”
Taj Jackson defended the honor of his uncle Michael Jackson who has been accused of child molestation from beyond the grave.
Taj, Tito Jackson's son, revealed on Twitter Thursday that he was molested when he was a small child by a member of his family. He shared that his late uncle was able to comfort him during that time in his life. He decided to come forward with the truth now because dancer Wade Robson has accused the Bad entertainer of sexually abusing him when he was a child.
"I was sexually abuse. By an uncle on my mom's side of the family when I was a kid," Taj tweeted. "My uncle was a support system for me and my mom. He wrote a letter to her that many have seen already, u just didn't know what it was about."
Taj said that he made the admission with the full knowledge that his life would never be the same. However, he said Robson was lying and would not allow his uncle to be "smeared". He tweeted that he did not want publicity but merely the truth to come out. Taj said he knew Robson was lying because he was a survivor.
"Don't forget I was living at Neverland when Wade testified during my uncle's case. I sat there and ate dinner with him and his family," Taj tweeted.
Taj wrote that his hands were trembling while he typed his messages but said it was important for him to keep a promise he made to his uncle in life. Taj said that he once promised the late King of Pop that he would take a bullet for him and he still held fast to that vow.
"I hate that Wade made me do this, this way. But since my uncle Michael is no longer here to defend himself. I will," he tweeted.
Taj also said that he had no concerns over what others would think of his defense. He thanked fans who offered their support, but knew that others would withhold theirs. He refused to back down even if that meant putting friendships at risk.
"Those who seek only fame & $ will do or say anything they can to get it. Those who seek or fight for the truth should be equally determined," he tweeted.
