John Mayer is hitting the road this spring to promote his new album, Born and Raised. But the good news doesn't stop there. The album's first single, "Shadow Days," just hit the radio.

While there's no word yet on when Mayer plans to drop his fifth album, a press release hints it will be released after his 18-city tour ends on May 6. However, we do know the album was produced by Mayer and Grammy winner Don Was, whose roster of iconic music greats includes The Rolling Stones, B.B. King, Bonnie Raitt, Bob Dylan and Willie Nelson. The title song features back-up vocals from rock legends David Crosby and Graham Nash.

The tour kicks off April 9 in Bloomington, Indiana. Tickets go on sale Friday. Most shows have third row seats available through Tickets-for-Charity. Fans can also go to eBay to bid on front row seats and a chance to meet Mayer. Proceeds will go to the Northern California Institute of Research and Education, which helps returning veterans readjust to civilian life.
