Rumor: Apple Wants Flexible And Thinner Digital Screens From Their Suppliers
There have been many articles written about this phenomenon, and it is mostly true. Apple is planning on changing quite a lot of things and that can be seen with the Jack-Less iPhone 7 along with the innovate Macbook keyboard. Now Apple is taking it a step further.
Amit from Forbes specifically talks about a rumor that has been floating around and getting leaked from so many places that it could be real. This is in clear coordination with Apple and its suppliers. Apple is starting to change its regular requests from them.
It is not something along the lines of "Change the screen size for a new phone". This is more related towards changing the core mixture of a certain aspect of the phone so it can fulfil something new. If one is being specific, Apple is talking about their screens.
Rumor has it that Apple has started to request from their suppliers a few things out of the ordinary. Firstly they are asking them to massively increase their outputs on the OLED screens. Secondly they are also asking their suppliers to make the screens more thinner and flexible.
Immediately the first thing that comes to the mind of anyone will be the fact that Apple wants to add a curvature to their screen. That is interesting because it makes sense. Apple has not been this innovative ever since the first iPhone was released, they are adding so many new features and experimenting, a curved screen is not that far fetched.
Even Apple Insider is talking about such a feat. Although Apple is denying to comment about any of this, and it is true that Apple has more than 10 prototypes where most of them get rejected, this rumor is still popping up more than it should.
It is not even unrealistic. It's not like one is talking abouta holographic phone, it is just a curved screen which is in other phones already.
