Jennifer Aniston made a surprise appearance on NBC's Saturday Night Live this past Saturday alongside her longtime impressionist, Vanessa Bayer.

Bayer brought out her Aniston as Rachel Green from Friends impression during SNL's Weekend Update, only to have the star herself show up. Aniston appeared next to Bayer, jokingly telling her that Friends was so long ago that maybe it was time to "move on" from the impression.

While Aniston argued that it wasn't really a great impression, she then launched into Bayer's impression of her and sounded very similar to her actual character on Friends.

Aniston, who is also promoting her new movie, Office Christmas Party, spoke with Entertainment Tonight about her SNL appearance, saying she had "so much fun."

The star also spoke about Bayer, with whom she stars in Office Christmas Party: "She's the sweetest. This is something she's been doing since, you know, she grew up on 'Friends'. Ugh it's so sad when you say that! But yeah, this was something she's been doing since her stand up days. We had fun!"

Bayer revealed that Aniston was aware of her impression but hadn't gotten the chance to perform it front of her until Saturday night.

"She had been very kind about the impression when we were shooting this movie," Bayer said. "She had seen me do it, but I had never done it in front of her until yesterday and she was a dream about it and she was just the best."

Aniston has hosted SNL twice in the past - in 1999 and 2004. This was her first appearance on the late night sketch show since 2004.

Office Christmas Party is set for release in theaters on Dec. 9.
