Bruno Mars, 'Treasure' Billboard Music Awards 2013 Performance VIDEO
Bruno Mars debuted his song Treasure for the first time live at the 2013 Billboard Music Awards on Sunday.
The singer gave a first-time performance the same night he was up for a number of awards, including Top Male Artist and Top Pop Artist. The track is off of his 2012 album Unorthodox Jukebox.
"Treasure, that is what you are," Mars sings in the song. "Honey you're my golden star/ And if you could make my wish come true/ If you let me treasure you."
The 27-year-old Hawaii native, who already has two platinum albums, was nominated on Sunday also in the category of Top Radio Song and Top Pop Song, both for Locked out of Heaven. He performed the track in late 2012 at the Victoria's Secret Fashion Show.
Swift, fun. and Maroon 5 lead the finalists at this year's Billboard Music Awards with 11 nominations each. Stay singer Rihanna had 10 nominations and Call Me Maybe's Carly Rae Jepsen had nine.
Mars' worldwide Moonshine Jungle Tour kicks off June 22 in Washington D.C. He.performed on Sunday along with a slew of other musical acts, including Selena Gomez, Justin Bieber, Taylor Swift, Icona Pop, and Macklemore with Ryan Lewis. Prince performed and also received the Billboard Icon Award.
The 2013 Billboard Music Awards aired live on ABC.
