Taylor Swift received the Top Female Artist award at the 2013 Billboard Music Awards on Sunday night.

She was also nominated for Top Artist, along with Justin Bieber, Maroon 5, One Direction and Rihanna. She was also up for several other awards, including Top Artist, Top Billboard 200 Artist, Top Hot 100 Artist, Top Digital Songs Artist, Top Social Artist and Top Country Artist.

Swift was nominated for the Milestone Award along with Bieber and Bruno Mars. This award is determined by who earned the most votes from music fans.

The singer competed for Top Streaming Song and Top Country Song with her song We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together, as well as Top Country Album and Top Billboard 200 Album with Red.

Swift, who writes her own songs, has sold more albums in the U.S. over the last six years than any other artist, since she was 16, according to CBS News. Her latest album, Red, sold more copies in its first week than any other album in over a decade.

The I Knew You Were Trouble singer wore a Zuhair Murad dress to the awards ceremony and performed her song 22 at the event. Celebrities arrived on Billboard’s blue carpet beginning at 6:30 p.m. ET/ 3:30 p.m. PT until the awards ceremony began at 8 p.m. ET.

NBC's 30 Rock alum Tracy Morgan hosted the event.
