At last, Brad Pitt is letting go of a precious piece of property - the Chateau Miraval. He has now agreed to go ahead and sell the beautiful wine estate in France that he had held on to earlier.

So why has Pitt agreed at last? Because it has really become a "house of broken dreams," according to Radar Online.

As insider says, "He plans on spending more time in California now, but there's no doubt he's devastated about the decision. It's become a house of broken dreams for Brad."

Sadly, there is a label, "Jolie-Pitt" on the Château Miraval bottles. They will now be removed and in the following season's batch, there will be new, reprinted labels without any names on them, according to US Weekly.

Earlier, he had bought the Chateau Miraval in 2008, and wanted to hold on to it as the couple had spent long, happy years on the estate. Although his wife Angelina Jolie did not cherish the estate so much, and tried to put it for sale on the market, he was more fond of it and tried to keep his hold on it.

"Angelina's wanted to sell Miraval for years, but Brad convinced her to keep it so they could get married there," explained an insider.

The divorce has forced Brad Pitt to split some of the equity that they have collected in all their global properties. Their lavish French estate is among the more lucrative pieces of property but Brad Pitt's main motivations to sell is not being short on money. It is because the place reminds him of his happy years with his wife and his six children.

"Now they've got to liquidate some of their properties because most of their equity is tied up in real estate and the biggest one of thermal is Miraval," the insider shared. "With divorce negotiations underway, Brad's shocked everyone and agreed to selling France, but everyone knows it's not because they need cash, it's because he can't bear to go there ever again."

Poor Brad Pitt. Selling a house is not just letting go of materialistic possessions. It is turning your back on a cherished past.
