Hollywood's elite seemed to be all about shading one another throughout the year, with social media snipes, telling comments in interviews, and plain out active all-out fights. Whether the ones involved in the battles had been there before, or were starting new fights, here are the 8 biggest feuds we saw throughout the year

1. Kanye West vs. Wiz Khalifa and Amber Rose

Back in January, when Kanye West announced he planned to name his new album Waves, it set off a feud with Wiz Khalifa when he asked the rapper not to do so. West went on an epis Twitter rant against Khalifa, which included some attacks on their mutual ex, Amber Rose, with whom Khalifa shares a 2-year-old son. Rose then responded with one of the most epic shady tweets by seeming to detail one of West's sexual preferences.

2. Demi Lovato vs. Taylor Swift

The "Skyscraper" singer came at the "Bad Blood" singer twice in 2016. Her first moment that was seen as an attack on Swift came when she seemed to criticize the fact that Swift gave Ke$ha $25,000 to deal with her legal battle against Dr. Luke, something Lovato criticized as not being proactive enough when it came to fighting back against sexual violence towards women.


Then, in October, in an interview with Glamour, Lovato once again seemed to go after Swift when she discussed the "unrealistic" body image girl squads like Swift's-which consists of several models-promoted.

3. Kim Kardashian vs. Chloe Grace Moretz

Before taking a self-imposed social media break after her terrifying ordeal in Paris this fall, Kim Kardashian was doing what she does best-using social media to flaunt her lifestyle and also "break the internet," which she did with a nude selfie in March. The move was criticized by several celebs, including 19-year-old actress Moretz. Kardashian responded to each critic individually, singling out Moretz in a tweet where she indicated that no one knew who the young actress was.

4. Kelly Ripa vs. Michael Strahan

The former Live! Co-hosts became enemies this Spring, after Strahan reportedly blindsided Ripa by announcing he was leaving her show to join Good Morning America full-time. Ripa then took a few days off from her show as she "processed" the news. During her absence, more was revealed about the pair's off-screen relationship, indicating it was never that friendly, and shortly after Ripa's return, it was announced that Strahan would actually exit the show in May, four months earlier than expected.

5. Demi Lovato vs. Nicki Minaj

Lovato also got into a beef with Minaj after the Met Gala, when Minaj instagrammed a photo of herself, Lovato and designer Jeremy Scott, but didn't mention Lovato in her post. Lovato took it as an insult, then instagrammed her own photo of the three where she appeared to stand awkwardly off to the side while Minaj shot her some serious side-eye.

6. Calvin Harris vs. Taylor Swift

After an initially peaceful seeming break-up, things got ugly fact for Calvin Harris and Taylor Swift, not long after her brief romance with Tom Hiddleston was revealed. After Swift's rep confirmed she had co-written Harris' hit song "This Is What You Came For," Harris went on a Twitter rampage against his ex, saying she was trying to "bury" him like Katy, referencing Swift's infamous feud with Katy Perry.

7. Kim Kardashian & Kanye West vs. Taylor Swift

Around the same time as Swift's apparent feud with her ex heated up, the reignited feud between her and Kanye West got new life when argument erupted over whether or not she knew of the lyric about her in his song "Famous." Kardashian became involved when she Snapchatted a video of the conversation between Swift and West.

8. Selena Gomez vs. Justin Bieber

In August, a feud appeared to erupt between the famous exes, after Gomez commented on a photo Bieber posted on his social media of his then girlfriend Sophia Richie, telling him to stop posting photos with her after he threatened to make his social media accounts private when fans posted hateful comments. They then started going off on one another in the comments section of the post, with each allegeing the other cheated.
