Sony Rolls Out Android 7.0 Nougat To Xperia X In India; Here's Why You Should Upgrade [VIDEO]
After releasing the Android 7.0 Nougat update to Sony Xperia XZ, Sony has started to roll out similar update to its Xperia X handsets in India. The said firmware upgrade has been reported to bring a handful of improvements to the smartphone.
According to Tech2, upon updating to Android 7.0 the Xperia X will obtain plenty of Nougat specific features. Nonetheless, with Sony's customizations in place, here are some of the important improvements and new features.
One of the Android Nougat specific features is the multi-window support which now lets users run two apps instantaneously. It also lets the users to double tap to switch between each one of them. Sony has the custom Stamina improvement to help the Google's Doze for the Xperia X's battery life to last longer.
The Japanese tech company also added a furnished messaging app that lets Xperia X owners to share their videos and audio with a few taps via MMS. Lastly, there is particular added manual camera settings with an all-new manual focus and shutter speed controls that was first seen Xperia XZ and now it has been made available with Xperia X.
As a refresher, Digit cited some of the specs and features that Sony Xperia X have. This handset sports a 5-inch Full HD display. It is engineered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 650 that works hand in hand with a 3GB of RAM.
When it comes with the camera, this smartphone features a 23MP rear-facing camera, while at the front is a 13MP snapper. It is powered by a 2620mAh capacity battery. This Android phone offers 64GB of inbuilt storage that can be expanded by up to 200GB via microSD.
