Like Virtual Reality, the Drone technology has bloomed this year. And since it's a season for giving, the DJI Mavic Pro Drone might be a good choice as it has been listed as one of the best drones this year.

According to a review made by New York Magazine, the DJI Mavic Pro Drone folds up effortlessly into something which is about the size of a paperback book as it weighs only 1.62 pounds. This size is really small making it easy to slip on a jacket pocket or into a shoulder bag. This Drone is armed with DJI's top-of-the-line camera gimbal and it camera shoots in 4K video or captures 12-megapixel still shots.

The DJI Mavic Pro Drone is capable of detecting objects in front of it and it will automatically avoid them. It also has built-in ground sensors helping it to hold that perfect hover, and a single button tap to get the drone to return back to its takeoff spot. The DJI Mavic Pro also as enough battery for 27 minutes of flight time this is about 6 minutes more than the Phantom.

In addition, Mobile & Apps stated that new DJI Mavic Pro Drone seems to fit the bill for tech enthusiasts who want a hassle free and portable device. But then, there are cheaper options, such as the $400 Parrot Bebop. But this one isn't really a professional-grade device since it does have a lot of inadequacies mostly due to its price point.

On the other side of the scale is the $1,200 Phantom 4. This drone was mainly used by professional as its tech features will surely result in great photos and videos. Nonetheless, the Phantom is not really the user-friendly type of drone and carrying it around is a challenge onto itself.

With this, DJI Mavic Drone might be a good bet as it is really stable and powerful with vast array of features. As for the price, this drone retails for $999 at Amazon.
