Gigi Hadid-Zayn Malik News: She Turns Him Down, Doesn't Want To Repeat Mom's Errors [VIDEO]
Perhaps more exciting than rumors of dating and plans for marriage between Zayn Malik and Gigi Hadid is the most recent one - that Hollywood's hottest young couple is not getting married, as the lady is protesting too much!
The former One Direction hunk and the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star and model girlfriend have been dating for less than a year. The 23-year-old musician even went down on a knee to make things official, yet his 21-year-old girlfriend did not accept his proposal, according to the Sun.
Gigi Hadid is said to have spurned him as she is sure that they are both too young for marriage. "She's only 21 and doesn't feel ready to tie the knot," said a source. "So she turned him down." Moreover, as Gigi has run into a number of divorces, especially those of her mother, the entire idea of marriage puts her off.
"She's seen her mum go through two messy divorces, so Gigi wants to make 100 percent sure Zayn's the one before she makes a lifetime commitment," the source said.
Her mother, Yolanda Hadid, had a divorce from her music producer husband, David Foster. In 2000, she had split from Gigi's father, Mohamed Hadid.
Even while the pair is reportedly "too young" to get married, they have put their differences aside and shown maturity in continuing the friendship, in spite of turning down the marriage proposal.
A year ago, the pair had confirmed its relationship via Instagram. After that, they both made a number of public appearances. Still, they briefly separated when Zayn was attacked by anxiety.
Earlier, Zayn Malik had been engaged to Little Mix singer Perrie Edwards for two years. But the pair had split when Zayn just announced their breakup. Perrie had reportedly written Shout Out To My Ex with her band Little Mix, according to Yahoo.

Gigi Hadid, on the other hand, is still dating Zayn Malik, but she certainly doesn't see anything positive about marriage at present.
