Rita Ora has been known for her platinum blonde locks but the singer recently decided to dye her hair blue.

She revealed her new look in two photos she posted on Tuesday on Instagram, where she is also wearing cat eye sunglasses and a big sweater. She wrote as the caption, "Today it's smurf day :)"

The 22-year-old really likes the color blue or may just she is excited for the summer premiere of the Smurfs 2, which hits theaters in July.

Ora isn't the first singer to make the shocking change to blue. Katy Perry channelled her inner smurf in 2012 and toyed with several different shades of blue. Perry is also the voice of Smurfette in the Smurfs movie, making her transformation a bit less shocking.

Singer Cher Lloyd had a similar hairdo earlier this year. The former British X Factor contestant debuted her very long, blue hair while making an appearance at Sirius Radio in New York City.

Yet, despite now being added to the list of singers with drastic hair color changes, Ora also revealed some information regarding her new music.

"#rehearsals #album2 #bluehairday," she wrote as the rest of photo's caption.

Ora, who released her self-tiled debut album last year, is currently working on her sophomore album.

"Ora was a pretty funny situation," she told Music-News.com in a January interview. "I kind of was experimenting. I definitely know what I want more and it's pretty straightforward with what I'm trying to say with the second album. It's very clear and that's why I had to make a new album."

The album has yet to have a confirmed release date.
