CES 2017: Asus Might Launch Zenfone 4 Packed With Powerful Snapdragon 835 SoC, Running Full Windows 10 Version [VIDEO]
Asus will start its launch event for Consumer Electronics Show (CES) 2017 tomorrow. The Taiwanese tech giant is anticipated to unveil a smartphone powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 SoC which is predicted to be the ZenFone 4.
According to Yibada, it was in December last year when Asus had teased its patrons that the company will be unveiling a smartphone at CES 2017. And now an official tweet from the company suggests that its upcoming smartphone will be equipped with the world's best processor.
Since Asus has stated that its upcoming device will be armed with "world's best processor" the rumor mill has started to circulate saying that the device will be running on Snapdragon 835 chipset. It is also anticipated to sport dual cameras on its rear panel.
Qualcomm's Snapdragon 835 is smaller in size when matched to Snapdragon 821 and 820 chipsets that have powered 2016 flagships. The SD 835 chipset is predicted to munch less power and it will convey best performance. Additionally, the Snapdragon 835 is so powerful that it is able to run full versions of Windows 10 without any interruptions.
Aside from the Snapdragon 835 SoC, Ubergizmo stated other features that might be present on ZenFone 4. Based on TENNA certification, the upcoming handset from Asus might be running on Android 7.0 Nougat as it came out the box. It might also feature a huge 4,850mAh capacity battery. Zenfone 4 might be equipped with 5.2-inches screen with a relatively low resolution of 1280×720.
It is also believed that the ZenFone 4 might also be powered by1.5GHz octa-core processor with 2-4GB of RAM, and 16-64GB of onboard storage. It is also speculated to boast a 13MP rear-facing camera, an 8MP front-facing camera and microSD card support for memory expansion.
As of the moment, Asus hasn't confirmed if the device engineered with Snapdragon 835 SoC will be the ZenFone 4. With this, it is advised for the company's fans to wait until the Taiwanese tech giant unveils this smartphone at CES 2017.
