CES 2017: ASUS Chromebook Flip 2 Announced at $499 Price Tag; Device To Feature USB-C And Intel Core m3 [VIDEO]
As the Consumers Electronics Show (CES) 2017 has just begun, ASUS unveiled its newest Chromebook Flip 2. The device that is armed with specs like USB-C and Intel Core m3 will hit the market shelves with $499 price tag.
According to Droid Life, the ASUS Chromebook Flip (C302) boast an Intel Core m3 or m5 processor coupled with up to 8GB RAM. This device is also equipped with a 12.5″ FHD display upholding its functionality while also receiving a few nice upgrades.
ASUS stated that the Chromebook Flip 2's keyboard received much love as it sports a full-size one-piece chiclet keyboard. The device's keyboard features a standard with a palm rejection feature that distinguishes between fingertip and palm contact to cut back on accidental cursor movement.
When it comes with the measurement and other features, NDTV Gadgets reported that the Chromebook Flip 2 weighs 1.2kg and measures 304x210x13.7mm. Its connectivity includes Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth v4.2, microSD card reader, and two USB Type-C 3.1 ports.
In addition, the 2-in-1 laptop offers a backlit keyboard for night typing and an HD webcam as well. It also runs on Chrome OS as it comes out the box.
Even if it the Chromebook Flip 2 has a slim and light form factor, it still comes with a superior audio output. This was due to the high-quality stereo speakers and extra-large resonant chambers that generate up to 87dB of high-fidelity audio. This newest device from ASUS also comes with built-in anti-virus protection.
As for the price, the Chromebook Flip 2 is tagged at $499 which is roughly Rs. 34,000 for the base model like the configuration 4GB RAM and 32GB storage. The gadgets price will increase if the buyers will choose for a higher configuration.
Aside from the Chromebook Flip 2 ASUS also launched the lightest business laptop and a compact gaming PC as well. The Taiwanese tech company also refreshed many of its laptops and PCs to incorporate the new Kaby Lake processor.
