Queen Elizabeth has a rough start of 2017 as report is claiming that she was almost shot by Buckingham Palace guard as she was taking a stroll at 3 A.M. around the palace.
The British reigning Queen had a very terrifying experience in her very own home, Buckingham Palace when one of the guards almost shot her because she was completely unrecognizable. As reported by Daily Mail, Queen Elizabeth was put in a serious peril when she almost got shot.
When the Queen was out strolling at the wee hour of the morning, the Buckingham Palace became alarmed then the guard spotted the unrecognizable queen and went to grab his weapon right away. He was about to aim for a shot when he first identified who the person is.
The guard has been terribly terrified when he learned that it was actually the Queen and because of this people would now want to know her reaction after the incident or when the guard discovered that it was actually her.
As per hollywoodlife.com, Queen Elizabeth kept calm about the situation and told the guard that it's just alright. Then the Majesty assured that next time she'll go out for a stroll in early morning, she would ring beforehand so she won't be mistaken again and her life will be put into danger.
Those are just the details given regarding the said incident that gave the Queen a "near-death" experience. It looks like she has an unlucky 2017 since before the year ended, she suffered from a severe cold that prevented her from attending important royal events and gathering. Not only that because she also missed to attend the New Year's Eve mass because she was still too weak that time.
Because of what Queen Elizabeth is going through these days, some are speculating that she might abdicate the throne this year to focus on her health also. Rumors are rife that anytime the Queen steps down from the throne, England will welcome a new king perhaps in the name of Prince Charles or his son, William.
