Close friends of the royal couple said that Kate Middleton and Prince William are fully prepared for parenthood.

Mike Tindall, who is married to the duke's cousin Princess Anne, on Monday talked about the couple’s parenting during the charity event Rugby for Heroes.

“It’s great for them,” Tindall said. “The whole family is really excited about the baby. I think everyone’s excited. I’m so happy for those two. They’ll be great parents.”

He added, “Kate is a natural mother.”

Prince William said that he is excited for the arrival of the new baby, and he said on Sunday that he is preparing for the responsibility of being a father. When asked if he was looking forward to being a dad during a charity event for injured troops called Help for Heroes, he said, “very much so.”

When he visited the Tedworth House Recovery Center Tuesday, parents offered advice to Prince William. The royal said all the mothers looked at him and said "just you wait, just you wait. Long sleepless nights.' "

In a visit as part of the Help for Heroes event, Prince William listened to injured soldiers from Afghanistan talk about the impact the Recovery Center has had on their lives.
