There had previously been a lot of speculation in the past several weeks regarding whether or not AMD would be releasing their new RX 500 series of graphics cards early this year. However, some booths at the recently held 2017 Consumers Electronics Show (CES) seems to have confirmed that the new mobile graphic cards model are indeed coming.

During the event, Lenovo's Y520 laptop booth had confirmed that the device was indeed going to be coming with the yet unreleased RX 500 GPU built-in. According to a report from Mobilepicker, the laptop will sport several GPU options, including an Nvidia GeForce GTX 1050, an Nvidia GeForce GTX 1050 Ti or an AMD Radeon RX 560M. All of the GPUs on the laptop will have up to 4GB of memory.

Apart for Lenovo's booth, Samsung also seemingly leaked and confirmed that the AMD RX 500 series of graphics cards are indeed coming out. Samsung's official press release for their new Samsung Notebook Odyssey gaming laptop hadn't really revealed what GPU it was going to be coming with and only included a "TBD" note.

However, the company's booth at CES had confirmed that their new gaming laptop, the 17.3-inch version at least, would be coming with the new AMD Radeon RX 570 GPU. The labels placed beside the laptop at the company's booth also suggests that the higher end AMD Radeon RX 570 model could be coming in two distinct variants, namely a 4GB version and an 8GB version. Aside for the RX 570 GPU, the Samsung Notebook Odyssey can also be purchased with a Nvidia GTX 1070 for those who prefer to have an Nvidia chip on board.

Interestingly the RX 560M placed on the label of the Lenovo Y520 did contain an "M" suffix, while the label for the Samsung Notebook Odyssey mentions the RX 570 without it. It isn't clear yet if the new 500 series graphics card will be sporting the "M" suffix when the GPUs are officially unveiled.
