Brad Pitt and ex-wife Jennifer Aniston are good friends despite the actor allegedly dissing the Friends actress.

According to Pitt's make-up artist Jean Black, the former couple does not have any problems with each other and are very much cordial.

"I think Brad was ready to soar when he met Angie," Black said. "This is not to say anything negative about Jennifer. I was part of that and I know that he and Jen are very good friends and he cared deeply for her."

The Internet went into a frenzy this week when Esquire magazine released an article featuring Pitt that revealed details of his relationship with longtime girlfriend Angelina Jolie, saying that she much pretty saved his life from his dark days .

Although Pitt did not directly reference Aniston's name when he spoke about his life prior Jolie, everyone pretty much assumed his dark life consisted of when he was with Aniston.

"For a long time I thought I did too much damage-drug damage. I was a bit of a drifter. A guy who felt he grew up in something of a vacuum and wanted to see things, wanted to be inspired," he said. "I spent years f-ing off. But then I got burnt out and felt that I was wasting my opportunity. It was a conscious change. This was about a decade ago. It was an epiphany."

Black said that Pitt fell in love with Jolie because she was different and a risk-taker.

"In Angie, he saw a very adventurous person who was grabbing on to life and taking it to its nth degree. It was intriguing because I felt Brad had that in him and wanted to unleash it," Black said.

Aniston, like Pitt has moved on with her life and is preparing to marry fiance Justin Theroux. The couple's wedding has yet to be confirmed, but sources said the couple will wed at the end of the summer.

"At this point, we're expecting the wedding to be at the end of the summer, just before Labor Day Weekend," the source said.
