Chris Brown and Rihanna Back Together? Her Dad Wants Them to Date Again
Rihanna's father, Ronald Fenty, wants her and Chris Brown to reunite once more, The Sun reported on Tuesday.
Fenty apparently gave the British newspaper an interview in which he said that he was still a supporter of Brown. Fenty said that he was Brown's #1 fan despite the fact he was convicted of beating his daughter in 2009. Rihanna and Brown publicly reconciled this year but their latest break up was announced on May 5 by Brown. Fenty said that he was sure that Rihanna would give the Forever singer another chance.
"They have a very passionate relationship but if they split up it does not mean it's for ever with them. In a couple of months they'll be back together," he said.
Fenty shared that he has been keeping in contact with his daughter via phone as she is on her Diamonds World Tour. He wanted to know how she was holding up after ending her relationship with Brown.
"She seemed to be doing OK. We talked about how the tour was going, I asked her if she partied and she needed rest and she said: 'I'm going to be okay, Dad," he said.
Fenty added that he would not judge his daughter's choice, including her partying. He said that she was young and deserved to have some fun. He just believed that Rihanna needed to slow down because of her hectic schedule because she seemed tired but that he would support her regardless.
"Whatever road my daughter chooses, I'm behind her win or lose. My main thing is that she's happy," he said.
Brown's father, Clinton, has already gone on the record with a different opinion of the controversial couple. In April, Clinton told the New York Daily News that his son's relationship with Rihanna would only end up in tragedy.
"I hate to use examples, but Michael Jackson, Whitney Houston and Amy Winehouse - I mean I could go on and on!" he said.
Clinton allowed that he did understand why his son was attracted to the 25-year old. He said that Chris found Rihanna attractive because she was exotic, beautiful and successful. However, he did not believe that was the basis of a relationship.
"You have to have a balance in a relationship. You have to have someone who is spontaneous and whimsical but you also have to have someone who is grounded and logical," he said.
