The upcoming new spin-off installment in the highly successful Oceans trilogy movies, Ocean's Eight, has now been revealed to include one more A-list actress in the form of Dawson's Creek star Katie Holmes. The upcoming heist film will feature an all-female cast that will be led by Sandra Bullock, who will be playing as the sister of George Clooney's Danny Ocean in the original trilogy.

Holmes was recently spotted at the set of Ocean's Eight in New York, where the actress came in a casual ensemble comprised of a multi-colored coat, loafers, and jeans. When asked about her role at the recently held 2017 Winter Television Critics Association Press Tour last week, Holmes confirmed with ET that she will indeed be appearing in the upcoming movie.

The 38-year old actress revealed in the interview with ET that she was actually just going to be appearing in a cameo role playing as herself. Holmes then expressed her delight in being part of the movie and praised all the amazing women that were going to be playing in it. Alongside Bullock, the rest of the new Ocean's team will include stars such as Anne Hathaway, Cate Blanchett, Rihanna, Helena Bonham Carter and Mindy Kaling.

The same report also confirmed that one big name star, who was part of the original trilogy, will also be appearing. Matt Damon, who played the role of Linus Caldwell in the original movies, confirmed to ET that he was in-fact going to be making an appearance in the upcoming movie as well. Damon also revealed that he was excited to see what the women were going to be doing with the franchise.

The first film in the series, Ocean's Eleven, premiered back in 2001. It was originally meant to be just a remake of the 1960's film of the same name. Due to its success, it was then followed by two sequels, Ocean's Twelve in 2004 and Ocean's Thirteen in 2007.
