LG G6 Unveiling At MWC 2017 In February; LG Promises Battery Is Safe From Overheating
LG has promised that it is doing its share in making sure that the LG G6 does not suffer from unsafe defects. LG expresses that it will greatly improve the safety of the G6 to entice disappointed buyers who are worried about battery fires.
The upcoming flagship product is set to be unveiled in Mobile World Congress in February 2017. LG is adopting a new technology and will be conducting tougher tests to improve on the safety of G6.
The LG G6's internal design will keep parts that tend to heat up as far apart as possible so that heat will not be concentrated in one area. LG will also be incorporating heat pipes made of copper to conduct heat away from vulnerable areas.
LG likewise is conducting battery heat exposure tests 15% higher than the international standards of temperature set by of U.S. and Europe. The G6 is also undergoing a more complex accelerated-life test. This will help evaluate how the product and its components react when mishandled.
The information generated from these tests are important specially when it comes to smartphone batteries. LG G6 is also expected to see a better or equally impressive battery life compared to G5 with Android 7.0 Nougat's battery life improvements.
However, if the LG G6 makes the leap to a 4K display without increasing the size of the cell, there could also be a battery error. Consumer safety is a serious issue for a very good reason. We carry several chemical elements in our pockets every day without bearing in mind whether its flammable.
We are always presumptive that and strict testing procedures and due diligence have been carried out to guarantee a high level of safety. But confidence in these products are sometimes shaken when incidents occur. LG is trying its best to give assurance to customers that they have made safety their utmost priority especially for its upcoming flagship, the LG G6.
