Mariah Carey Wardrobe Malfunction on 'Good Morning America'; Dress Rips on Live Television [VIDEO]
Mariah Carey endured a wardrobe malfunction when she appeared on the Good Morning America show in Central Park Friday morning.
The singer walked out on stage with a sequin dress paired with high heels singing her hit-song Always Be My Baby. She told the audience that she didn't have time to prepare her microphone, but continued to sing the song.
After she finished the hit-medley, she asked GMA host Lara Spencer for a little extra time to fix her microphone. In the middle of the conversation, Carey seemed uncomfortable, as she revealed to Spencer that her dress was ripping. The singer's wardrobe team ran out on the stage to help her fix her dress, but it wasn't enough time as the show was forced to go on commercial.
After the break, the 43-year-old mother-of-two continued her show with We Belong Together. She stayed in one spot throughout the whole perfomance to avoid any more wardrobe malfunctions.
She decided to change her dress when she performed Beautiful with singer Miguel. She revealed that it was the first time the duet performed the song together.
The singer asked GMA's producers to only film her performance from her waist up.
Before the performance she cursed on television and said, "Oh S***," as she was trying to get in place for the perfomance.
Miguel praised Carey earlier in the week before he performed at the Billboard Music Awards.
In an interview with Billboard, he said that working with Carey was a dream come true.
"Mariah [Carey] is, she is so fast. Her mind is is extremely sharp," he said of the songstress. "I didn't really know what to expect, how involved she would be creatively but ... she was really behind the vision of '#Beautiful' being a duet between her and I. The video went with all of that. She's a mastermind."
Carey just finished up her first season as judge on American Idol, but Fox sources confirmed that the singer won't be back.
"Yes, we want to do a whole new panel-but, just like last time around, it depends on who we get," the source said.
