Scarlett Johansson has been cast in a role linked to classic horror film 'Psycho' and its infamous nude shower scene.

The 27-year-old actress is set to play Janet Leigh in Alfred Hitchcock and the Making of Psycho, a behind-the-scenes look at the director's film, according to reports.

The movie, which is based on Stephen Rebello's book, tells the story of Hitchcock's decision to independently make and finance the low budget movie.

Anthony Hopkins will play the legendary director, while Helen Mirren will portray Hitchcock's wife, Alma Reville.

Meanwhile, Johansson reprises her role as Black Widow in The Avengers, which opens May 4.
