Barack Obama Post-Presidency: 3 Things 44th President Can Do Now That He's No Longer Commander-In-Chief [VIDEO]
After eight years in the White House, the Obamas are taking a vacation-but what could the former President do after the vacation ends (and he catches up on some sleep) for a job?
While he likely won't need to work (he has an estimated net worth of $12 million), it'd be interesting to see what he does to occupy his time. Here are 3 things we could see him doing now that he is no longer President.
Writing His Memoirs:
Before he even became the President, Barack Obama was an accomplished writer, with two successful memoirs, Dreams From My Father (published in 1995), and The Audacity of Hope (published in 2006). His memoirs from his time as President would certainly be best-sellers, and would be the kinds of books so many Americans would likely clamor to read.
Teach Golf:
Often criticized for his love of the sport, something he played often on family vacations while in office, we could see Barack Obama teaching golf somewhere to youth who express interest in it, but don't necessarily always have access to classes or camps or clubs where it was taught. It's surprisingly easy to envision a Barack Obama School of Golf For Kids that offers scholarships, or low fees-or that's entirely free.
Fighting Donald Trump:
Those who are not supportive of the current President have all vowed to make sure and fight his plans and policies that they disagree with at every turn. While there will undoubtedly be some political figures who will help lead the charge, like Senators Bernie Sanders and Elizabeth Warren, it's easy to see Obama also throw his hat in the ring when it comes to protecting some of his legacy moves, and encouraging that those who fight still do so in a way that is respectful to Trump. And since he will legally be only a citizen now, he has the same rights as anyone else to peacefully protest if he wants.
