Rihanna Chris Brown Split Since Singer Tired of Drama & Wants a Man to 'Respect' Her, Source Says
Rihanna is letting it be known to her friends that she does not want Chris Brown back and that she instead wants someone that will treat her better, Hollywood Life reported Friday.
Rihanna and Brown publicly reconciled this year after breaking up in 2009 following the infamous incident where he assaulted her. However, their recent break up was announced on May 5 by Brown. The Forever singer felt that she was too young to marry, but the Bajan pop star does not appear to be missing her ex.
"She's tired of this back and forth s**t [with Chris]. A b**** wants someone that's going to be down for her and respect her," a source said.
The source added that the 25-year-old would be concentrating on her professional life for the next few months. Rihanna is currently on her Diamonds World Tour and it has taken her to many cities such as New York and Boston. She will soon embark on the European leg of her tour and had no intention of allowing her attention to be distracted by Brown.
"She just need to be about her tour and not worry about that fool. She'll be all right. She's the most eligible b**** in town," the insider said.
Rihanna is also in no rush to replace Brown in her heart. The insider declared that she was not actively looking for someone to new to get involved. However, if she were to meet someone, she would not be opposed to it.
"If someone comes across her path, and they're both feeling it, then she'd make a move," the source said. "But my b***h isn't searching for anybody. She's not thirsty, that's all."
Rihanna's feelings toward Brown are different from that of her father, Ronald Fenty. The Sun reported on Tuesday that Fenty was still a supporter of his daughter's ex. He shared with the newspaper his belief that the two would ultimately reconcile.
"They have a very passionate relationship but if they split up it does not mean it's for ever with them. In a couple of months they'll be back together," he said.
Fenty added that he only cared about his daughter's happiness. He did not worry about the opinions and judgments of others. Fenty said that his main concern was his famous daughter's state of mind.
"Whatever road my daughter chooses, I'm behind her win or lose. My main thing is that she's happy," he said.
