NBC's The Voice coach Blake Shelton will headline a benefit that will support the victims from this week's Oklahoma tornado disaster.

Shelton will appear on the Healing in the Heartland: Relief Benefit Concert telethon on May 29. The event will air live on NBC at 9 p.m. Eastern from the Chesapeake Energy Arena in Oklahoma City. It will also air on cable networks Style, G4, Bravo, E! and CMT.

Shelton, an Oklahoma native and resident, and his wife Miranda Lambert will join fellow country singers Vince Gill and Reba McEntire at the live telethon. Additional performers will be announced soon, according to reports.

"Everyone has their way to help, and mine as an entertainer is to perform to help raise money and awareness for this tragedy," Shelton said in a statement. "This is why I want to do this special and especially hold it in Oklahoma City, which is near ground zero."

Shelton and McEntire worked together previously on another disaster relief benefit, 2011's Tornado Relief Concerts which raised $500,000.

The event will raise money for the United Way of Central Oklahoma.

Tickets for Healing In The Heartland will go on sale for $25 each at 10 a.m. Central on May 25. It can be purchased at the Chesapeake Energy Arena box office, all Ticketmaster locations, by phone at (800) 745-3000 and online at Ticketmaster.com.

Shelton and Lambert opened The Voice Top 10 results show on Tuesday by performing a duet together to honor the victims from the tornado that struck Oklahoma.

The married couple sang a song they co-wrote together: Over You. The single was originally written as a tribute to a 24-year-old brother Shelton lost in a tragic car accident when the country singer was 14 years old.
