She's had an interesting life thus far, and Kendra Wilkinson thinks that the free spirited nature that led her to where she's been is something she wants her own children to experience.

In an interview with E!, where she admitted to being fooled and freaked out by a death hoax about Hugh Hefner last month, Wilkinson also credited Hefner for being an example of someone who lives his wife as free-spirited as he can, and having a long lifespan because of it.

"I saw him a couple of months ago and actually, it impressed me," she said. "You live your life honest, happy, free, you live a long life."

Wilkinson also then referred to Hefner as her mentor, and credited him for giving her the life she has now, saying that if she hadn't ever gone to the Playboy Mansion, she wouldn't likely be where she is.

"I wanted to find my freedom being a woman. I was a stripper at the time, before I came to the mansion... it made sense that Hef called me that day," she said. "It all came together, it was like my destiny to go to the Playboy mansion."

Now, the mother of two, Hank IV, 7, and Alijah, 2, says she hopes the free-spirited nature she feels both she and Hefner have is something that she can pass down to the two of them as they continue to grow.

"You know, I'm a free spirit: I walk around naked-they're going to eventually run across [me]," she said. "So I'm going to teach free spirit stuff to my kids. I want to make sure they know what like, you know, 'To each their own.' If they're not harming someone, if you're not doing any harm to yourself, be the person that you want to be, do what you want to do and be true to yourself."
