Evan Rachel Wood And Bandmate Zach Villa Share A Secret Behind Silver Rings
Evan Rachel Wood and Zach Villa made an interesting Sunday couple at the Screen Actors Guild Awards show. What made them stand out was the silver rings they both wore on their left hand fingers.
The whisper that flew round was: are they engaged?
Well, they did go on a vacation together late in 2016. In December, they were clearly a couple, according to People.
The Westworld star was overheard calling Zach her fiance in the SAG show. Her reps validated it on early Monday morning too, says People. So it's wedding bells soon then - that is what everyone thinks.
There sure seems to be a lot in common between them - apart from their rings! Villa belongs to Wood's band. Both of them formed the electro-pop group Rebel and a Basketcase, and brought out their first full length album, titled "Rebel and a Basketcase 1," on Speakercat Records last September, according to abcnews. The name of the band is an allusion to The Breakfast Club.
The couple's style too is complementary and complimentary. In the Sunday show, Wood looked beautiful in a navy velvet suit that set off Villa's lighter blue dress. Their haircuts seemed to be in sync. They had "swooping side parts and blonde highlights."
They met in 2015 at an LA themed cabaret. The actors were essaying scenes from John Hughes' movies, even as they sang from his soundtracks. They have been pretty open about their relationship since then.
Villa is loaded with musical experience, just like Wood. His bio describes him to be a "self-taught multi-instrumentalist and singer-songwriter who plays guitar, bass, keyboards and drums, among other instruments." Like Wood, Villa too is a great actor, and will soon star in a new musical web series "Dan is Dead" with Drake Bell.
What else do they share? Quite a lot, as it happens! They are politically involved and informed - expressing their viewpoints in their work. They put up pictures from the Women's March on Washington. They have also supported women's and LGBTQ rights. And Wood wears suits to every award show - to make a feminist point, and do away with the necessity for dresses.
It is obvious that Villa and Wood make a great band partnership in their personal lives too. Their engagement is thus an Open Secret now.
