Both Grande and Legend's voices soar much like the pop version of "Beauty and the Beast" recorded by Céline Dion and Peebo Bryson. Grande seems to have taken some inspiration from Dion, as heard in her hilarious imitation of the vocal powerhouse on The Tonight Show in 2015.
The new version of Beauty and the Beast stars Emma Watson as Belle, Dan Stevens as the Beast, Luke Evans as Gaston, Kevin Kline as Maurice, Josh Gad as Le Fou, Ewan McGregor as Lumière, Stanley Tucci as Maestro Cadenza, Gugu Mbatha-Raw as Plumette, Audra McDonald as Madame De Garderobe, Hattie Morahan, Nathan Mack as Chip, Ian McKellen as Cogsworth and Emma Thompson as Mrs. Potts.
The film is directed by Bill Condon, who has directed such acclaimed films as Dreamgirls, Kinsey and Gods and Monsters, in addition to the final two Twilight movies.
The 1991 Disney animated film was a huge success at the time, grossing $425 million worldwide and becoming the first animated film to be nominated for Best Picture at the Oscars. To this day, it remains the only animated movie to be nominated in a field of five.
Beauty and the Beast is scheduled for release in theaters March 17.
