Girls Aloud singer Cheryl Cole will reportedly cover an unreleased Lana Del Rey song on her upcoming third album.

According to The Sun, Cole will record and feature an unused song written by Lana Del Rey. "Cheryl is a big fan of Lana and was intrigued to hear she had lots of songs written which she wasn't going to sing herself," a source told The Sun.

The source added, "The record labels are pretty happy about it because Lana has a massive following."

The song, which could be the album's first single, is described as an "urban, mid-tempo ballad."

Meanwhile, Del Rey's second album, Born to Die, received positive reviews in the UK, but the singer is struggling to redeem herself in the US after a disastrous performance on Saturday Night Live. Born to Die is currently at No. 4 on UK album charts and Del Rey recently picked up the International Breakthrough Artist award at the Brits.
