'One Direction' Reunion Possible: Boys Focusing on Solo Careers, Zayn May Not Join Again
One Direction may be gathering once again, as some sources justify. However, since the group has not surfaced for quite a while, hopes may be faltering slightly if not completely at least while no announcement has been made.
The five-piece boy band became a household name after their "X Factor" escapades a number of years ago. After releasing albums and the untimely detachment of member Zayn Malik, the group went on hiatus was unheard of until speculations on a One Direction reunion slowly rose up.
According to E! News, One Direction may be thinking of a reunion, but it may not come as close as expected. One of the members who was talked to with regards to a comeback is now solo artist, Louis Tomlinson.
It was said that Tomlinson, as per Globe Gazette, is the one closest to giving clues around a possible recollection of the pop group. The primary reason being looked at as to why this may not be so soon is the plan of each member to establish a solo career as they please.
A justification claims that the group started out solo as how they did in "X Factor," and that for the moment, is what they want to engage in, Teen Vogue reports. It was said that most people do not remember how the boys desired that from the start; especially with the success that they underwent as One Direction.
Another speculation around the possible reunion suggests that the first member to exit, Zayn, may not take part in any regrouping. The present boyfriend of supermodel Gigi Hadid is labelled as somewhat the "wild card" of the group if to talk about reuniting, and shows the least possibility of being in One Direction again. Nonetheless, the artist has been showing incredible success as a solo artist to this day.
One Direction was part of the "X Factor UK" series back in 2010, and was officially made a group by July 23 of the same year. So far, the group has remained quiet on any possible reoccurrence in the music scene, although some members are said to soon enter the acting industry.
