HTC 11 Release Slated Some Time This Year; Weibo Post Hinted Device To Feature Qualcomm Snapdragon 835, 6GB Of RAM, 128 GB Memory [VIDEO]
After the release of HTC U-Play and U-Ultra, HTC has confirmed that it will be launching another flagship handset this year. Dubbed as HTC 11, a Weibo post hinted that the upcoming handset will feature Qualcomm Snapdragon 835, 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage.
According to ValueWalk, it was just last month when HTC launched the U Ultra smartphone which is engineered by the well-known Snapdragon 821 processor. Nevertheless, this powerhouse is last year's technology making company's fans look for something better from the company's forthcoming smartphone; HTC 11.
As of the HTC 11 is expected to be a handset that will seize the U and become HTC's flagship smartphone for this year. In addition, a leak from a post in Weibo indicated some of the possible specs and features that the HTC 11 will offer.
Based on the screenshots from Weibo, Ubergizmo has learned that the HTC 11 will be equipped with Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor. It will be paired with an enormous 6GB of RAM and 128GB of onboard storage. The HTC 11 may be powered by Android 7.1.2 Nougat with HTC's new Sense 9.0 user interface.
The Weibo post even hinted that the HTC 11 may boast a curved screen since the display resolution is mentioned as 1556×2550 pixels. Also, a flat Quad HD display would have had a screen resolution of 1440×2560 pixels instead.
As a for the release date, the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona would be a great place to launch the HTC 11. Also, it can be remembered that in 2015 the HTC M9 has taken the MWC's center stage, however, it skipped the event last year. Nevertheless, HTC already stated that the company will miss the 2017 event too, but this doesn't mean the HTC 11 will not be unveiled early.
With the above-mentioned specs, it really seems that the HTC 11 will be fortified with powerful features. Nonetheless, the company's patrons should keep in mind that this information is just based on Weibo post, so it is still advised for them to keep an eye for further announcements.
