Human Ken Doll Shocking Revelation: Suffers Breathing Problems After More Than 50 Surgeries
Celebrities are usually compared or likened to dolls, and while ordinary people simply admire them from afar, some actually go to the extent of trying to look like one. This is the case of Rodrigo Alves, who idolized Barbie's boyfriend, Ken doll, so much, that he went under the knife to look like him.
The journey to look like Ken Doll is quite difficult considering that it is a doll, which would mean that it is designed to look perfect and symmetrical. The human face, on the other hand, is unique in its own way and in no way perfectly congruent. Because of this, New York Daily News reports that Rodrigo Alves had to go through eight nose jobs to end up looking like the human Ken doll.
In a recent appearance on British talk show, "This Morning," Rodrigo Alves, now popularly known as the human Ken doll, revealed the nuances and side effects of the numerous plastic surgeries he had been through. According to Alves, he is starting to experience trouble breathing, after going through eight nose jobs. "July of last year I had my nose reconstructed with a piece of cartilage from my ribs," Rodrigo Alves said. "That helped, but I still can't breathe 100 percent."
As of writing, Rodrigo Alves, also known as the human Ken doll, has reportedly undergone more that 50 reconstructive surgeries and procedures to achieve his goal of looking like a doll. The said reconstructive procedures include fake six-pack implants, noselifts and stem cell injections on his face and hair.
One reconstructive surgery session already costs a lot, so more than 50 procedures might have cost a fortune, right? Well, lucky for Rodrigo Alves, he didn't even have to worry about paying for the numerous surgeries that he went through as Mirror reports that he used the inheritance he received from his grandparents.
The journey to look like the human Ken doll is not all beauty and glamour for Rodrigo Alves. In 2015, Alves was reportedly diagnosed with body dysmorphic disorder, wherein a person becomes obsessed with self-perceived flaws in physical appearance.
