Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth have reportedly called off their engagement.

The Hollywood Life reported that the Hunger Games star ended his engagement to the Disney star recently. Sources close to Hemsworth revealed that his family is very excited.

"They are definitely over," a source said.

Hemsworth's brothers, reportedly encouraged the actor to end the wedding because he was "miserable."

"They wanted him to end the romance for good," a source said. "Liam's brother's had heart-to-hearts with him because they were worried. Each time, he was more receptive."

"His brothers told him, 'You're miserable and we hate that.' They were tired of Liam being hurt by Miley."

The rumors of Miley and Hemsworth's bad romance started back in February during Oscar weekend when sources said the actor showed up to the Chateau Marmont on Feb. 23 not with Cyrus, but with Mad Men actress January Jones. The two co-stars reportedly exited the hotel and drove away in an SUV together.

Star magazine reported that onlookers even saw Hemsworth and Jones kiss.

"It looked like they had some hot chemistry. They were all over each other-and they even kissed!" a source revealed at the time.

Since then, Miley has been seen on-and-off with her engagement ring.

Back in April, Miley's father Billy Ray Cyrus also spilled beans about the couple and said that he wasn't sure if the couple was still tying the knot and added that the entertainers are "friends."

In an interview with ABC News which aired on April 15, Billy Ray revealed that Miley and Hemsworth are "young" and that they're really good friends.

"I don't know. I know as I was writing a book, I wanted to keep that particular moment [Miley's wedding] as open-ended as possible. I didn't know the answer," Billy Ray said.
