Amanda Bynes may be vindicated as the drug case against her is in jeopardy, TMZ reported Wednesday.

Sources claimed that there was no hard evidence to support that Bynes was ever in possession of weed. An NYPD official told the entertainment site that there was no mention that marijuana recovered at the scene. The source also added that the cops only smelled the odor but it appeared as if there were no drugs recovered.

Furthermore, the alleged bong, which was found on Monday on Bynes' sub roof, will most likely not be entered into evidence. The police did not find it during their initial search of Bynes' residence and adjacent property. Since the bong remained undetected for days, the chain of custody was broken and it cannot be assured that the broken glass was not tampered with.

The site declared that even if prosecutors tried to move forward with the case against Bynes for for reckless endangerment by throwing something out the window, there is no physical evidence of what was thrown. The former Nickelodeon star allegedly admitted to throwing out a vase. Several lawyers asserted that a conviction would be difficult given the circumstances.

On Wednesday. Bynes took to Twitter to credit the site for publishing the article, but blasted what she felt were inaccuracies.

"This is the first correct article except for one huge mistake! NOTHING was thrown out the window! I didn't throw anything out of the window! For them to say "she confessed to throwing a vase out of the window" is false and illegal!," she wrote.

Since her May 23 arrest, Bynes has taken to Twitter to deny that she was in possession of drugs or that she was a drug user. She threatened to sue the New York Police Department for arresting her on Monday. She accused the cops of planting drugs on her.

"I'm suing NYPD for illegally entering my apartment, lying about drugs on me and lying about me tampering with non existent drug paraphernalia, then I'm suing for being put into a mental hospital against my will," Bynes declared.
