'Game of Thrones' Season 3 Spoilers: Oberyn Character Set To Be Casted For Next Season? VIDEO & Details
Although HBO's Game of Thrones has yet to even finish its third season, the casting department is reportedly already attaching talent for next season.
According to TV Guide, the GoT brass is currently on the lookout for an actor to don the role of Oberyn, someone that will more than likely turn out to be a thorn in the sides of the Lannister family. The respective character is said to have a major bone to pick with one of the famous House members.
To top it off, Carter Matt reported that Oberyn will have plenty of drama left over for others outside of the Lannister circle as well.
In other Game of Thrones happenings, actress Gwendoline Christie (Brienne) spoke to Rolling Stone about the dynamic between her character and Nikolaj Coster-Waldau's (Jaime) romance, and admitted that she wasn't sure whether the two should end up staying together on the small screen.
"The world of Game of Thrones, the world that George R.R. Martin has created and that Dan [Weiss] and David [Benioff]'s translation adopts brilliantly, is a world that's never straightforward. I genuinely have moments of absolutely no idea. I don't even know if I want them to [be together romantically], because what they're experiencing is a bond that is quite unusual and quite pure bond. He did come back and save her life, which is enormous," she said.
