Hilary Duff's Ex-Husband Mike Comrie Charged With Rape
Hilary Duff's ex-husband Mike Comrie is under the radar. He has been accused of rape. The former NHL star has been charged by the Los Angeles Police Department of having located and raped an unknown woman in his home.
"There is an open investigation of sexual assault involving Mr. Comrie," LAPD Officer Liliana Preciado explained. Mike had run into the woman at a Los Angeles bar on Saturday night, February 11, 2017. Luring her into his home, he is said to have raped her multiple times. The woman said she then flew into the Cedars-Sinai Medical Center nearby, where she was given a rape kit.
Sources say that Mike Comrie was friends with the woman for a long time. He said they had exchanged sex, but it was consensual. As one more unidentified woman had been at Mike's home on Saturday night, they were not alone, he said. It had in fact been a "threesome" according to TMZ.
The entire episode sounds sordid and a bit unbelievable. Earlier, reports showed that Hillary was trying a few months ago to give her marriage some sparks to revive it. Hilary Duff has been photographed with Milke Comrie and their four-year-old son, Luca, many times. The parents have tried to make a go of their marriage for the child's sake.
Hillary Duff had separated from her boyfriend Jason Walsh last December. So she had got together with Mike Comrie on a quiet date. They even visited The Grove in Los Angeles to get their son some recreational time.
But after that, Hilary Duff moved on with a new boyfriend, music producer Matthew Koma. She was not seen with Mike after that. Still, it isn't really clear what was up between the two. Hillary Duff is quite clear though that she does not trust her ex-husband.
Mike Comrie has had quite a full 13-year career, but he is best known for having married Hillary Duff, according to New York Daily News.
Where their relationship will now go after the rape accusations is not clear. Hillary Duff might decide to carry on with Mike Comrie, or she might decide not to support him.
