Former child stars are coming out and voicing their opinions regarding Amanda Bynes and Lindsay Lohan veering off the path of success and happiness.

Mrs. Doubtfire’s Mara Wilson said in a Tuesday report that she believed the stars acted out later in life because they weren’t given the privileges others had as children, among other reasons. Rick Schroeder, who acted as a teen in the popular 80’s series Silver Spoons, spoke on ABC News Now on Tuesday regarding the actresses.

“My heart goes out to them,” he said. “I wish some people would intervene on their behalf.”

Lohan was admitted on May 3 into the Betty Ford Center, an addiction treatment hospital in Rancho Mirage, Calif. for a mandatory 90-day sentence after violating probation. The actress had been in rehab several times before this, and had been admitted to Betty Ford in 2010, according to People magazine.

Bynes was arrested on May 23 after reportedly throwing a bong out of her apartment window, although she claims she wasn’t using drugs, and later complained of being harassed by cops. The Hollywood star has also been feuding with other celebrities on Twitter like Chrissy Teigen and Rihanna.

“They are in a place right now that is not good,” said Schroeder, 43. “A lot of people around them don’t care about them and want to capitalize on it. I feel bad for them.”
