Kurt Cobain 50th Birthday: Frances Bean Honors Father with a Sweet Tribute [PHOTO]
February 20 should have marked Kurt Cobain's 50th birthday. Although he has been gone for almost 23 years, his daughter, Frances Bean still celebrated his dad's natal day with a very sweet tribute.
Frances Bean shared a personal handwritten note for Kurt Cobain on her Instagram account. "Today would have been your 50th birthday," the message started.
"You are loved and you are missed. Thank you for giving me the gift of life. Forever your daughter, Frances Bean," she continued. The 24-year-old celebrity daughter captioned the snap with "February 20th 2017. Happy Birthday."
To recall, Kurt Cobain committed suicide in April 1994, USA Today reported. France Bean was not even two years old that time. In an interview with Rolling Stone about the HBO documentary about her dad "Kurt Cobain: Montage of Heck, the visual artist said her gave up his life for his art.
France Bean explained that the world demanded Kurt Cobain to be gone. Hence, she thought that this might be the reason why the Nirvana frontman felt he wanted to die and everyone would be happy if he did.
However, Frances Bean imagined that if Kurt Cobain had lived, she "would have had a dad" that would have been "an incredible experience" for her. Meanwhile, on her 23rd birthday in 2015, her mother Courtney Love also remembered her former husband.
Courtney Love shared a couple of old family photos on her Instagram page in celebration of France Bean birthday then. The snaps featured the 52-year-old musician, her daughter when she was still a baby and Kurt Cobain.
The former frontwoman of Hole captioned the first picture with her greatest love and their precious Bean along with a sentimental message for the late hitmaker. Courtney Love revealed she felt emotional that time seeing Frances Bean all grown up.
She even questioned Kurt Cobain for taking his own life knowing they have a very pretty Frances Bean. Courtney Love then admitted that she missed him, Pop Sugar reported.
