'Beauty And The Beast' News and Update: New Clip Focuses On Gaston, Her Suitor
Those waiting eagerly for "Beauty and the Beast" can watch Walt Disney Studios' just-released clip, "Gaston." It shows Luke Evan (Gaston) and Josh Gad (LeFou) breaking into a song related to a "self-absorbed" villager who also plays Belle's suitor. The movie was launched in Shanghai, and the trailer came out on Monday.
One more clip from "Beauty and the Beast" that came out last week showed Emma Watson singing as the beautiful Belle doing her early morning round of the village. In the earlier trailer, the song is called "Belle." The focus is on the villain, Gaston, according to Deseret News.
You can see "Beauty and the Beast" on March 17. The eagerly awaited film plays out as a live action story related to Disney's animated film series. While the story features the classic characters from the fairy tale of yore, the approach is refreshingly contemporary and different.
"Beauty and the Beast" is all about the classic tale. The lovely, completely independent girl, Belle, is captured by a beast in his magic castle. She slowly overcomes her inhibitions and begins to talk to the staff. It exposes the Beast's kind heart inside the ugly exterior.
Last month's trailer of "Beauty and the Beast" showed Belle's captive father, animated antiques from a magic castle and the slowly unfolding romance between Belle and the Beast. She was dressed in a beautiful yellow gown, even as she had a conversation with the antiques inside the castle. The ballroom is incredibly grand and beautiful, according to Entertainment.
Emma Watson is Belle in "Beauty and the Beast." Dan Stevens is the Beast. Luke Evans acts as Gaston, who is handsome but too shallow a suitor for Belle. Kevin Kline is Maurice, her father and Josh Gad is Lefou.
The other roles in "Beauty and the Beast" include Ewan McGregor (Lumière), Gugu Mbatha-Raw (Plumette), Ian McKellen (Cogsworth), Stanley Tucci (Cadenza), and Emma Thompson (Mrs. Potts). The Oscar-winning director Bill Condon wields the Director's baton, while David Hoberman and Todd Lieberman have produced the film. Watch the "Beauty and the Beast" premiere on March 17, 2017.
