As a well-known television personality, Katie Couric has undoubtedly been asked to dinner by quite a few famous men.

What many may not know, however, is that Couric turned down the late Michael Jackson, according to the Daily News.

After Couric's husband and father of her two children passed away form cancer in 1998, the journalist began dating again with the belief she would be remarried by now.

I really did love my husband a lot, but after Jay died, I always thought I'd end up like Florence Henderson on 'The Brady Bunch,'" the 56-year-old Couric told the Daily News. "It's actually surprising to me that it has been almost 15 years and I haven't remarried."

Although she is currently dating businessman John Molner, and has been since 2012, Couric talked about the men who didn't quite make the cut. Among these were Bob Saget of Full House and Jeff Probst of Survivor.

"I can't say that I was devastated that neither called me back," Couric said, according to the Daily News. "I thought they were both nice guys ... I don't think there was real magic there with either, but I enjoyed spending time with them."

However, she does regret turning down Michael Jackson. When contacted by the singer's friend Rabbi Shmuley Boteach while she was working at the Today show, Couric had to explain that she was already seeing someone.

Couric is currently raising her two daughters, 17-year-old Caroline and 21-year-old Ellie.

"I think life is more fun when you have someone in your life," Couric said of her love life, according to the Daily News. "I've had long-term relationships, but they haven't turned into lifelong partners."
