'Deadpool 2' Latest News & Updates: Cable & Domino Casting Still Questioned; Screen Test Already Done?
"Deadpool 2" is still in the works for the time being, particularly with the casting. One of the most talked about factors towards the title is that of the all-powerful mutant Cable, wherein the choices seemingly failed to narrow down.
As Marvel fans may know, Cable is a popular character within the X-Men universe, most especially as the future partner-in-crime of the Merc with a mouth. As it was already revealed in the post-credits of the original film, Cable is now one of the most crucial elements in the upcoming "Deadpool 2" that is soon to emerge.
According to The Wrap, casting Cable has become a grueling job for the Marvel team, but one of the people that seemed to stand closest to being cast is "Stranger Things" actor David Harbour. The most intriguing part is the confirmation of the actor being screen-tested for the role to see if he registers well as the character. However, no official word has been given out as to whether he will be given the "Deadpool 2" role just yet.
Harbour plays Chief Jim Hopper on the aforementioned Netflix series, which makes him no stranger to the action and science fiction genre. As per NME, one name that floated around as a rumor is former "007" star Pierce Brosnan, but was said to have been set aside indefinitely. It was also confirmed that Domino, a mutant with the power to willingly force luck onto her side, is appearing in "Deadpool 2," although a fixed celebrity is yet to be announced. Some of the rumored personalities for the role include Sienna Miller ("G.I. Joe: Rise of Cobra") and Ruby Rose ("xXx: The Return of Xander Cage").
"Deadpool 2" is expected to release sometime within 2018, without a specific date for the moment. Who do you think will play best as Cable, as well as the remainder of the cast in the sequel? Stay posted for further news and updates.
