Kate Middleton Frustrated: Duchess Misses Opportunity To Meet Angelina Jolie At Buckingham Palace [Report]
Kate Middleton is said to be a bit disappointed because she missed out a big opportunity to meet Angelina Jolie. It can be recalled that the actress and her son Maddox took a private tour of the Buckingham Palace last March 15.
Angelina was spotted leaving the palace with her son last Tuesday and unfortunately, Kate Middleton was nowhere in sight. Some people have speculated if the Duchess felt bad for not able to meet Brad Pitt's ex-wife. But before her visit to the palace, Jolie gave a lecture on the rights of women at the London School of Economics.
In the lecture, Angelina Jolie elaborated the effect and impact of displacement and war to refugee women of which she is an advocate as per Daily Mail. Even if Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie reportedly met Kate Middleton and Prince William during their trip in London way back 2015, the actress was not able to meet any member of the royal family this time.
During their meeting in 2015, it has been reported that Kate and Angelina enjoyed a tea together at Kensington Palace but it seems like that did not happen this time. Besides, the actress has another purpose in going there and perhaps it was not meeting with the royal family but for a certain cause.
Some of the royal insiders were shocked that Kate Middleton was not around when Angelina Jolie and her son Maddox visited and toured the Buckingham Palace. It can be recalled that Kate has been reported to have been enjoying rubbing elbows with Hollywood's elite. Last time, it has been reported too that the Duchess of Cambridge did whatever it takes so Prince William will bring her to the BAFTA's last January as per The Sun.
No one really knows what kept Kate Middleton busy during the past week since she was also absent during the celebration of the Commonwealth Day services while Prince William was on a ski trip. Like the Duchess, Angelina Jolie also had her reasons for visiting Buckingham Palace which did not include meeting any member of the royal family.
