Katy Perry Robert Pattinson Dating? 'The Rover' Actor 'Found Comfort' In Singer After Kristen Stewart Breakup
Though insiders confirmed that Katy Perry and Robert Pattinson are not dating, reports surfaced noting that the two got very close after the actor broke up with his girlfriend.
Pattinson, 27, and his former Twilight co-star, Kristen, Stewart ended their relationship in May and he leaned on the Wide Awake singer post-breakup to help him get over the heartbreak. An insider also told Life & Style that Perry, 28, never supported Pattinson's relationship with Stewart after she cheated on him in the summer of 2012 with her Snow White and the Huntsman, director Rupert Sanders.
The Rover actor and Perry were spotted at a wedding together in Santa Barbara on May 25, days after reports surfaced that he ended his four-year relationship with Stewart.
"He and Kristen were arguing and Rob found comfort in Katy," a source reportedly told Now magazine, "She's fun to be with, not moody like Kristen."
Insiders insisted the two are only close friends, telling Us Weekly, "They are not a couple. They are friends and it's only that!"
An onlooker who saw the two together watching a wedding take place told People there was "no PDA between them and no body language that showed they were dating. They just sat together and watched."
A source told E! Online that "nothing is going on between Rob and Katy" in a report published in late May. "They are just super good friends. There is nothing romantic in it."
Perry is rumored to be giving her relationship with John Mayer another go, after the couple split earlier this year. He attended a Memorial Day party at Perry's new home in Hollywood Hills and one partygoer told Us Weekly, "they were very flirty and having a really good time together.
