In a techie world where Apple and Samsung are considered to be the hotshots, Google Nexus 7 2017 enters the scene and tries to match, if not overtake, the success of the big tech giants. Currently, the aesthetic factor of a handset is not only the feature that consumers are looking for. Functionality and the ability to multi-task are getting checked and scrutinized before consumers decide to purchase a gadget.

What does Google Nexus 7 2017 have to offer? From the name itself, it seems like it aims to be at par with the latest units from both Samsung and Apple - the iPhone 7 and the Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge. According to Droid Report, the latest offering of Google is expected to have a powerful Android 7.0 Nougat as OS rather than the rumored Andromeda OS.

The Google Nexus 7 2017 release date has reportedly been postponed and the reason behind the delay was because the company had to focus more on the modifications to ensure that the unit is at par or better than its counterparts. Initially, reports about the Google Nexus 7 getting a merged version of Chrome and Android made its round on the internet.

However, Hiroshi Lockheimer, the head Google's Android department, has reportedly mentioned that no such merge will happen. The merging of Android and Chrome will reportedly not make sense and will only hinder the Google Nexus 7 2017 from performing at its full potential. With the delay for the said model, the Google Pixel XL and Pixel were pushed forward to fill in the gap.

Google Nexus 7 2017 specs and other unit details remain to be unveiled by the developers. According to MobiPicker, the release date for the said unit is expected to be in the third quarter of 2017. Meanwhile, check out the video below to know more about Google Nexus 7 2017 gadget.
