Ewan McGregor has revealed in an interview that he is still willing to play Obi-Wan Kenobi role in "Star Wars" once again. The actor further explained that this character is fun to do and that the stand alone film is not yet planned.

According to Business Insider, McGregor stated in an interview that he would be glad to do the Obi-Wan Kenobi character again if the studio would have wanted him to portray it. The actor even mentioned that he was in fact, being asked a lot about Kenobi.

It was also noted that McGregor was the last actor who portrayed the Jedi master on the silver screen and he even dubbed some lined in the "Star Wars: The Force Awakens." For reference, McGregor's voice can be perceived for the duration of the dream sequence of Rey which was played Daisy Ridley; after she touched Luke Skywalker's lightsaber.

Furthermore, Comicbook has learned that Obi-Wan Kenobi has been a character which delivers a huge impact in the "Star Wars" universe. It can be noticed that this character has present in the entire main saga installment, whether being a ghost, a real person or even just a voice.

It can also be recalled that Kenobi has been present in both of the franchise's canon cartoon series, the "Star Wars Rebels" and the "Star Wars: The Clone Wars." Moreover, the last time McGregor played the main role as Obi-Wan Kenobi was in "Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith." But then, there have been speculations that the Jedi master might have its own supplement movie.

Nevertheless, it appears that McGregor wasn't asked yet to play the role again; if there is really a movie in the works. But then, he stated that he considers that the studio is already scheduled going into the 2030s with its movies.

With this words from McGregor, it really appears that the actor wanted to play the Obi-Wan Kenobi role in "Star Wars." Conversely, the fans of the Jedi master should have to keep an eye for further announcements if this character will reappear in the movie.
